Description
 Strings
is a 21 year old summer classical music series in Steamboat Springs. It has
been housed in various places over the years, mostly in a tent that was put
up and taken down each season. The series acquired land for a permanent home
a few years ago. Steamboat Architectural Associates have teamed up with Spearhead
Timberworks of Nelson B.C. to create a new permanent structure to house the
festival. It was important to maintain the outdoor feel of the festival. The
design incorporates the ability to be both open to, and protected from the
elements. |
